My favorite notes were always from my Grandma. She always picked out the perfect note for me and it was always so heartfelt and such a wonderful surprise in the mailbox. I love hand-written correspondence, it is so wonderful to get a treat like that. I signed up for your newsletter and bookmarked the blog! Thanks for doing this!

My girlfriend always used to write me long and beautiful notes when we were dating. 3 years later we were married, and today my wife still writes me wonderful notes that brighten my day and make me feel like I am the only man in the world.

One summer when my sister was at camp, she was thoughtful enough to send me a letter telling me all about the fun things she was doing. That she took time out of her camp activities was really sweet.

My first "love" letter! I was in high school and my very first boyfriend sent me a letter in the mail. It didn't matter to me that it was written in pencil or that the subject matter was complete nonsequitor. All that mattered was that he signed it "love". Sigh, those were simpler times!

My favorite note that I ever got was from my boyfriend a few years ago (now my husband!). He wrote me a note asking me out, using woodland creatures to tell the story. Being such an animal lover, I immediately said, "yes!"

My favorite note that I have ever received was from one of my best friends in high school. We were "band-buds" in marching band together and one time he wore smiley face boxers for a competition and since we all had to change on the same bus into our uniforms when I looked up to grab my uniform bag I came face to face with his smiley boxers since he was standing on the bus seat in front of me. Rather traumatizing. lol. So he hand-made a card for me later on complete with smiley boxers drawn on them. It was very original and absolutely hilarious!

When my husband was leaving for four nights for school, he gave me four letters to read every night he was gone. He's so sweet ;)

My favorite note I ever got was from my grandmother. She is the queen of note writing and this particular one was just so sweet and full of her personality. It was also on such a pretty notecard. That always makes it special. :)

My fave note ever was from my bestfriend her first week in college. She went a year ahead of me and was nervous and excited and missing home. I will have it.

My favorite note received was from my mom. I received it the week after I married my husband and moved away from home for good. She knew how hard it was for me to move away for my family for the first time. She told me how proud she was of me and that no matter how far away I go, that will not change the love they have for me or the fact that I can always come home.

I have a lot of notes from my mom. In my high school years it was only her and I and she had such a great sense if humor. She would leave me little notes for when I got home from school and I have kept them all. They remind me of what a treasure I once held.

I worked at a special needs camp for a summer, and at the end of the summer after I'd gone back to school, all of the kids signed a card and sent it to me to thank me for helping out and hanging out with them all summer. It was the sweetest note I've ever gotten. :)

The birthday card I got from my mother-in-law this year was pretty fantastic--it was all about the trials and tribulations of adapting to your inlaws!

My fav note comes from my husband (then boyfriend). I was really upset one day because of circumstances in the family pertaining out marriage plans. He told me in that note that whatever may come to pass, he would always be on my side and that he will pray for special strength from God to help me get through that rough patch. :-)

I've received a few really special notes, but many years ago I ended a relationship with someone serious. My brother helped me move out....I was thing I said (which was silly looking back)"who is going to send me flowers". A week later I got flowers with a card that said, "Your brother will send you flowers. You deserve the best."..... It makes me tear up just thinking about it. amerskine at hotmail dot com

My favorite was from an ex-bf [bf at the time] of mine who wrote me a note on a handmade card. It looked horrible, but it's the thought and effort that counts!
